China Securities Regulatory Commission heavyweight: 592 poverty-stricken county enterprises ……On September 9th, the China Securities Regulatory Commission publicly released the "Opinions of the China Securities Regulatory Commission on Utilizing the Role of Capital Markets to Serve the National Poverty Alleviation Strategy" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions"), which is an important measure taken by the Party Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission to implement the "Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Winning the Poverty Alleviation War" (Zhongfa [2015] No. 34) and the spirit of the Central Poverty Alleviation and Development Work Conference. The Party Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission has always regarded poverty alleviation work as a noble political responsibility. Comrade Liu Shiyu is appointed as the leader of our poverty alleviation work leadership group, and each Party Committee member and the Party Secretary of the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges are paired to contact a designated poverty alleviation county. The Opinion emphasizes the implementation of the basic strategy of targeted poverty alleviation, leveraging the advantages of the capital market industry, positioning the starting and ending points of various policies to help impoverished people lift themselves out of poverty, closely linking various policies with impoverished villages and registered impoverished households, establishing a linkage mechanism to drive impoverished people out of poverty, and giving impoverished people a real sense of gain. The Opinion requires the joint efforts of the China Securities Regulatory Commission system and capital market entities to serve the national poverty alleviation strategy, support enterprises in poverty-stricken areas to use multi-level capital market financing, support and encourage listed companies and securities, fund and futures operating institutions to fulfill their social responsibilities for poverty alleviation, and effectively strengthen the protection of investors in poverty-stricken areas.
