China produces "ultra-thin glass" with a thickness comparable to A4 paper

   In April 2018, ultra-thin glass with a thickness of only 0.12 millimeters was produced in China Building Materials, which is currently the thinnest glass produced in bulk using float process in the world. Ultra thin glass, also known as ultra-thin electronic touch glass, is the core material of the electronic information display industry, used as the basic material for mobile phones, computers, and TV display screens. After more than 30 years of exploration, Bengbu Glass Industry Design and Research Institute has brought China's ultra-thin glass, which fully possesses independent intellectual property rights, onto the world stage.
